We need to stand up to Big Oil companies to prevent offshore drilling and protect our beautiful California coastline. Here in Orange County, we’ve seen what failing to protect our environment looks like: Oil leaks that close our beaches and shutter local businesses, and deadly wildfires that destroy homes and pollute our air.
Katie is proud to continue standing up to Big Oil companies and holding them accountable on behalf of Orange County families. She’s introduced legislation to raise federal rates on polluters, which would recover billions of taxpayer dollars and crack down on pollution.
She’s also introduced legislation to create a National Disaster Safety Board, which would create an independent board that would study wildfires and make recommendations for how to protect Americans and save taxpayer money.
Katie is proud to be advocating for smart policies that will help preserve our environment and protect our planet for our kids and grandkids. That includes making sure all kids can enjoy the outdoors–which is why she led the fight to fund the Every Kid Outdoors program, which allows 4th graders and their families the opportunity to access our national parks for free. To keep Orange County families safe from toxic chemicals, she’s led efforts to increase the cleanup of harmful PFAS chemicals and believes every American should have access to safe, clean water.
