Warren Praises Porter’s Record Taking On Giant Corporations and Donald Trump–And Winning
IRVINE—Katie Porter, Democratic candidate for Governor, today unveiled her latest TV ad of the campaign, featuring Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). The ad, “Fighter,” shows the progressive senator praising Katie’s record taking on Big Pharma, Big Banks, and Donald Trump. Warren calls Porter a “fighter for working people” and “the governor California needs.”
Porter’s new ad is the latest installment of a seven-figure statewide buy on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms. It comes shortly after Porter reported over $3.75 million in campaign cash on hand, putting her with a major fundraising advantage over Xavier Becerra and other opponents.
Porter and Senator Warren have a long record of working together to hold billionaires, corporations, and Donald Trump accountable. In Congress, Warren and Porter pushed to reinstate protections for consumers after high profile bank failures in 2023 and worked together to block massive corporate mergers that harm families. They successfully demanded answers from Wall Street’s self-regulator following a shady deal that undercut consumers and called out TurboTax lobbyists for working to block free tax filing services for Americans.
Despite billionaire Tom Steyer spending over $147 million in the past five months, Katie has maintained some of the highest favorability and name ID among Democrats. With her seven-figure ad blitz, Katie will only need a fraction of Steyer’s spend to remind voters of her record fighting against special interests and defending middle-class California families.
