KATIE PORTER TAKES ON TRUMP AND THE SPECIAL INTERESTS DRIVING UP COSTS IN FIRST AD OF THE CAMPAIGN

Watch Katie Hold Wall Street and Trump Officials Accountable in New Ad

IRVINE—Katie Porter, top Democratic candidate for California Governor, today unveiled her first TV ad of the campaign. The ad, “Whiteboard Warrior,” showcases the former Congresswoman taking on powerful corporations and Trump officials while serving in Congress—and her pledge to do the same as governor. It’s the beginning of a seven-figure statewide buy on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms.

For too long, Donald Trump and powerful corporations have made life harder for Californians. Katie Porter has earned a reputation for protecting consumers from big money interests, and this ad will remind voters right as they tune into this race of her grit and willingness to take on the powerful.

Despite billionaire Tom Steyer spending over $120 million on ads for the past five months, Porter remains tied as the top Democrat in the race—without spending a dime on advertising until today. She has the highest favorability and name ID of the field and enters the last seven weeks of this race with the strength and momentum needed to win on June 2nd.

I’ve never been afraid to call them out, and that’s not going to stop when I’m Governor.
