IRVINE—On Election Day, Tuesday, March 5th, Congresswoman and U.S. Senate candidate Katie Porter (D-CA) will hold a meet and greet in San Diego, CA, with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 569. Porter, who has earned national recognition for taking on powerful special interests in Washington, will meet with IBEW 569 members and discuss why California needs its strongest warrior in the Senate to shake up the status quo, root out corruption, and tackle the biggest challenges facing California – from the housing affordability crisis to threats posed by climate change.

Tuesday’s event is co-hosted by IBEW 569, which endorsed Porter last summer and represents 3,600 working families throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties. Special guests, including San Diego Assemblymember Chris Ward, will also be in attendance to share why Katie is the leader Californians deserve in the U.S. Senate.

Katie Porter is running for the U.S. Senate to shake up the status quo in Washington and unrig the rules bought and paid for by corporate special interests. The only candidate in the race who’s never taken corporate PAC money and refuses federal lobbyist money, Porter is the warrior Californians can trust to speak truth to power and hold greedy corporations, special interests, and government bureaucrats – of both parties – accountable.
